London Portraits - Opera Ballet - Sadlers Wells

Commissioned as Choreographer for the world premiere of London Portraits, a new opera-ballet composed by Leo Geyer for Constella Music and presented at the Lilian Baylis Studio, Sadler’s Wells.

Created the choreographic language for the work, fusing contemporary ballet with street dance to capture the rhythm, energy and humanity of London and its commuters.

Working closely with the music, I developed movement that responded to the fusion of jazz and classical composition, using physical storytelling, musicality and spatial relationships to bring the world of the piece to life.
